Is QAnon the Future of North Carolina Education?? It’s On The Ballot!

Enforcing school discipline can sometimes mean imposing tough penalties.

— Writing something 50 times on the board?
— Time-outs?
— Detention after school?

Michele Morrow, communicating

Naaah. Wishy-washy liberal mush. Michele Morrow, who hopes to be elected state superintendent of public instruction, says it’s time to get serious about public schooling in North Carolina:

— How so? Maybe by boycotting the public system? Morrow prepared to run the North Carolina public schools by homeschooling her own kids, so they never spent a  day in them.

— Or what about by joining a coup? Morrow was in the crowd at the U. S. Capitol on January 6 2021 as part of the drive to “Stop the Steal.” Morrow told the Raleigh News & Observer that “I broke no laws . . . I damaged no property. I did not enter the Capitol Building.”  Maybe. But she also posted a video from there declaring “We are here to ensure that President Trump gets four more years.” (Aka= overthrow a lawful election.)

— Or deter playing hookey by forcing kids to watch public executions? Michele Morrow often recommends them. Especially of Democrats.

Heck, CNN reported she even recommended charging pay-per-view fees for adult fans to watch an execution by firing squad.

But maybe that’s an exaggerated charge.

Next time, “The Storm,” . . . And the firing squad

After all, she only floated the pay-per-view idea for watching her firing squad publicly perforate Barack Obama.

Morrow’s enthusiasm for public executions is in the news in the Tarheel state because in last week’s GOP primary she upset a Republican incumbent state Superintendent, the official who oversees much of the 115 local school systems. CNN has been doing some digging in Morrow’s social media messages; what they found is quite, um, revealing.

Morrow charged that the incumbent Superintendent, another Republican, was not conservative enough. But how “conservative” on schooling is Morrow?

Well, “conservative” enough to tweet the QAnon meme ”WWG1WGA”  (Where We Go One, We Go All”) numerous times.

Some conservatives insist that QAnon is actually not them, but instead a weird paranoid conspiracy.  We won’t try to sort out that debate here, but simply note that all the people whose names turned up on Morrow’s execution lists seem to be, well, Democrats:

Morrow has espoused a wide range of extreme views on social media in recent years. . . .

Morrow also promoted QAnon slogans and tweeted that the actor Jim Carrey was “… likely searching for adrenochrome” – a reference to a conspiracy theory shared by QAnon believers that celebrities harvest and drink the blood of children to prolong their own lives. Media Matters, a left-leaning publication, was first to report the QAnon tweets.

All together, Morrow tweeted “WWG1WGA” – the slogan that stands for the QAnon battle cry,  “where we go one, se go all,” – more than seven times in 2020.

Central to QAnon lore is the notion of the “Storm,” a belief there will be a day when thousands will purportedly be arrested, subjected to military tribunals, and face mass executions for their alleged crimes, with Donald Trump leading their efforts alongside other QAnon “patriots.”

Morrow’s post about publicly executing Obama was just one of many she has made voicing violent fantasies against Democrats.

On Twitter . . .  and on . . .  Parler, Morrow used the hashtag “#DeathtoTraitors” a combined 12 times – usually in relation to prominent Democrats.

“Obama did it. [“it” = committed treason/sedition] Hillary did it. Schiff did it. Comey did it. Yates did it. Holder did it. Clapper did it. Gates did it. Fauci did it. Time for #WeThePeople to DO IT and #DrainTheSwamp!!!!! #NoJusticeNoCountry #DeathToTraitors #ProsecuteThemNow #TakeBackAmerica . . . “ she wrote in one tweet from May 2020 . . . .

CNN added “In other comments on social media between 2019 and 2021 reviewed by CNN’s KFile, Morrow  made disturbing suggestions about executing prominent Democrats for treason,  including Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar, North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Hillary Clinton, Sen. Chuck Schumer and other prominent people such as Anthony Fauci and Bill Gates.”

[But she could on occasion be bipartisan. When Georgia’s Republican governor Brian Kemp certified that Joe Biden won his state in 2020, Morrow demanded he be prosecuted. But showing compassion, she only wanted him thrown in prison, not sent to the chair.]

Morrow also “expressed belief in a conspiracy. theory – that tens of thousands of Chinese troops were stationed in Canada to invade the United States to help Joe Biden become president.

“Tens of thousands of Chinese soldiers are already in Canada and probably Mexico waiting for orders to invade,” she wrote on January 8, 2021.

[One wonders if, in the Canadian winter, the Chinese troops adjusted to the Canucks’ diet of poutine & Tim Horton,  or if their comrades in Mexico ever tired of tacos.]

In yet another comment, Morrow suggested in December 2020 killing Biden, who at that time was president-elect . . . . “We need to follow the Constitution’s advice and KILL all TRAITORS!!! #JusticeforAmerica,” she wrote.

And —oh, yeah, Morrow calls public schools socialist indoctrination centers, and despises something called critical race theory. She’ll make a fitting campaign sidekick for Mark Robinson’s run for governor. After all, if Morrow is elected North Carolina’s next Superintendent of Public Instruction, she’s pledging to “Make Academics Great Again.”

That is, if she can find time between orchestrating executions. . . .

Roy Cooper, take note.
